goDream is Tafaria Castle & Center for the Arts' flagship experiential learning programme for schools.
The goDream programme brings together arts, science, agriculture, conservation, leadership, technology and recreation in an experiential learning journey where students learn by taking part.
Students can experience goDream as a day visit or as a longer residential programme. Tafaria currently recommends a two-night stay for schools that want enough time to explore the farm, arts, life-skills work and other guided experiences in greater depth.
The programme uses Tafaria itself as a learning environment. Depending on the itinerary, students may explore the castle, Evolution Science Museum, Nano Herbarium, Nano Farm and Center for the Arts, then connect what they saw to practical tasks and discussion.
School visits are supported by facilitators, tour guides and artists where relevant. Tafaria also includes safety and supervision planning, a nurse and wellness facility, programme handbooks, recreational activities and certificates of participation among the support available to organised school groups.
Teachers and facilitators can deepen the experience by agreeing on a few questions before the visit. Instead of asking students to remember every fact, they can focus on what surprised them, what problem they saw, what they tried, and how the lesson could apply at school or at home.
Different age groups can take different lessons from the same space. Younger learners may remember a story or object, while older students can connect it to leadership, design, science, enterprise or environmental responsibility.
Yes. Full goDream programmes culminate in a goDream Certificate.
