Experiential learning is important because it gives learners something concrete to reflect on. A farm task, art workshop, archery lesson or group challenge can produce a more memorable conversation than an abstract lecture.

From observation to personal reflection

For teachers, the visit does not need to end when the group leaves Tafaria. Photos, sketches, questions and observations from the day can become prompts for follow-up work back at school.
