Artists in residence make the Tafaria Center for the Arts a working creative environment rather than a collection of empty studios. Visitors and students can encounter art while it is being developed, discussed and made.

Different residency routes

Tafaria hosts sponsored and self-funded residencies. Sponsored opportunities are tied to specific calls, while self-funded residencies can offer more flexibility around timing and the artist's own project.

Creative work in public view

Where the programme allows, visitors can observe techniques, join workshops or speak with artists about the process behind a piece. That creates a different experience from seeing only finished work in a gallery.
