The characters are connected to recurring educational themes such as healthy living, environmental care, teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, agriculture and the thoughtful use of technology.

Several characters and story elements connect directly with Tafaria. Jach's horse adventures, Malaika and Taji, the Nano Farm, the Dream Carriage and the Aberdare landscape give the fictional world recognisable physical anchors.
