The Tafaria–CKL Africa collaboration brings together Tafaria Castle & Center for the Arts and CKL Africa to establish a Farming Knowledge & Advisory Centre. The partnership exists to strengthen agricultural knowledge, inspire future farmers and make trusted technical advice more accessible to neighbouring communities, schools and visitors.
The Centre was created to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice by providing practical demonstrations, reliable technical guidance and a place where farmers, students and communities learn together.
To become a trusted regional centre where agriculture, education, innovation and community development come together to improve livelihoods while inspiring the next generation to view agriculture as a modern, creative and rewarding profession.
Knowledge shared through the Centre comes from CKL Africa technical specialists, agronomists, veterinarians, Tafaria's own demonstration farm, experienced farmers, schools, researchers and the wider community. The Centre values both scientific knowledge and practical local experience.
The Centre provides agricultural demonstrations, advisory services, practical learning sessions, school visits, farmer forums, crop and livestock information, introductions to trusted agricultural inputs and guidance that helps farmers avoid counterfeit products and poor farming practices.
The Nano Farm serves as the Centre's living classroom. Visitors observe crops, livestock and farm systems in practice while discussing soil health, nutrition, diversification, animal welfare, sustainability and farm management.
The partnership encourages young people to see agriculture as a career that combines science, business, technology, creativity and entrepreneurship. Students are exposed to emerging opportunities throughout the agricultural value chain.
The Centre supports neighbouring farmers by improving access to knowledge, encouraging collaboration, promoting sustainable farming and strengthening food security. It also creates opportunities for schools and community groups to learn directly from practitioners.
